If you don’t know or care anything about roleplaying this can be a bit hard to get into initially since the early comics are basically just lighthearted jabs at DnD tropes, but once the actual plot gets started it’s much easier to follow along. My favorite chapter is the siege of the paladin city and its ultimate climax. My least favorite chapter, unfortunately, is the arc with all the desert kingdoms, because it just goes on forever and the main plot grinds to a screeching halt in the process. Also the comic treats Erin’s father as some kind of unstoppable monster who’s always one step ahead, even though he’s shown at every step of the way to be a complete moron who’s easily provoked and easily outwitted. I wanted to slap some sense into all the main characters by the end of it.
