This is a comic about terrible people doing terrible things and having even worse things happen to them. Except for maybe Kahn (and the jury’s still out on him) no one in this story is remotely heroic, and even people who seem good-hearted, like George (albeit in the process of making terrible life decisions), turn out in the end to be petty and cruel.

Mokepon is definitely an acquired taste. But once you do acquire it, it's something worth revisiting over and over.
